PGA Catalunya is a high-end golf resort located in Catalonia, north-east of Spain, 45 minutes from Barcelona and 10 minutes from Gerona City.
The defining features of PGA Catalunya are its top-flight golf, unique location, and upscale, cosmopolitan appeal.
A unique location in attractive countryside close to Barcelona, Gerona, the beaches of the Costa Brava, the Pyrenees mountains, and the South of France.
300 hectares with a clubhouse, hotel, and plans to build another boutique hotel and sports centre with indoor and outdoor pools, gym, spa, tennis and paddle tennis courts.
2 x 18-hole golf courses, one of which – The Stadium – is ranked 2nd in Spain (after Sotogrande’s Valderama), and 3rd in Continental Europe (also ranked 88th in the world by Golf World magazine June 2010).
It hosted the Spanish Open in 2000 and 2009, and some pros have suggested it would make a good venue for the Ryder Cup.
Plans to build just 350 homes, offering a variety of villas, semi-detached town homes, and apartments in condominiums to suit different lifestyles.
PGA Catalunya is one of very few top-flight golf courses in Southern Europe with property for sale. This will appeal to golfing enthusiasts looking to invest in property on one of the world’s great courses, in a region with a perfect climate for golf.
PGA Catalunya Real Estate - A Wealth of Opportunities
Piece by piece, stroke by stroke, we create our life's masterpiece, adding in the elements of our life that are important.
The result is a unique interpretation of the way we live. At PGA Catalunya, each element has been carefully designed to create the type of masterpiece from which legacies are made.
Today's PGA Catalunya Resort is the culmination of more than 20 years' work and, as a single visit will testify, it more than delivers on the vision of its founders.
Bringing together the well-known diversity of Catalonia with world-class golf, internationally renowned hotel resort and dynamic home designs was the vision for PGA Catalunya Resort. Catalonia has always been about showcasing the finer things in life with a distinguished nature all its own. It was here that our newest resort was welcomed as a rare work of art. Starting with a blank canvas we partnered with the Royal Automotive Club of Catalunya, Vichy Catalan, PGA European Tour and Sol Melia, some of the world’s most respected brands, to develop what has now become an internationally recognisable development.
Our mission was clear – to bring to market a masterpiece created stroke by stroke. In 1999, we established our golf club with two championship courses designed by Spanish golf legend Angel Gallardo and Ryder Cup star Neil Coles. Having hosted two Spanish Opens and the European Tour Qualifying School Finals, our Stadium and Tour courses have become the jewel of the Costa Brava region.
In 2006, Melia Golf Vichy Catalan joined our expanding development bringing with them the level of luxury our patrons are accustomed. By designing a hotel fully integrated with its surroundings, Hotel Melia rounded out our development beautifully. With each brush stroke, we created a masterpiece to add to our extensive portfolio, including leading European resort Quinta do Lago, Algarve, Portugal.
Today, with an established wealth of amenities available to enjoy, we bring a home collection exquisitely tucked within its natural environment affording our owners privacy without compromising breathtaking views. The sleek and innovative architecture showcases sweeping vistas from every vantage point.
And so, we see our masterpiece take shape with what you see today...
Set amidst the Catalonia backdrop that inspired Dali and Gaudi, PGA Catalunya Resort is tucked within the beauty of mature pines, majestic mountain ranges and two world-class golf courses. Brilliantly situated in the Costa Brava region of Girona, an area home to over 20 Michelin-star restaurants, one of the highest standards of living in Europe and renowned historical treasures, it is widely regarded as Spain’s best-kept secret.
